So, this blog is being kept up to show the progression of the label and to outline the time line of ideas and release methods. In the last post, we decided to make Reliable Records releases a premium - only being available through us online and at live shows. To further clarify the release system of Reliable Records, all songs and albums will be online releases that are delivered in a compressed ZIP file or something comparable - The file will contain high quality copies of the release with high quality art work and notes - There may be supporting documents as well, such as release notes and photography.

The only physical product that Reliable Records will make from this point in time are download cards that will be about the size of credit cards that contain download and contact information. These cards are designed for point to point sales of the release at a live show or in a record store - The actual album will be hosted online to be downloaded and put onto a playback device by the consumer - examples being MP3 players and compact discs.

The idea of printing album art work in larger size was considered, but the cost was too high to warrant production. It's actually the idea of the album art that is in reality more important than the physical printed version of the work. The download file will contain the exact art work representation that the artist intended the consumer to see - This artwork may be printed or loaded onto a playback device.
